Player Bio and Testimonial
I am the son of a former collegiate wide receiver as well as professional baseball player. I play wide receiver as well and return kickoffs and punts. My love for football started at a young age through playing catch in the backyard and watching college/pro football on Saturdays and Sundays with my dad. Through many conversations with my dad and other coaches I have learned the intricacies of the position and that hard work is not a choice but a necessity to become a great player in this difficult game of football. I embrace competition to the upmost and understand that a lack of competitiveness is unacceptable when attempting to reach my immediate goal of playing in college and my ultimate goal of playing in the NFL. I am heading into my junior year and have been a starter since my freshman year. I love the team aspect of the game no matter if it’s in the fall during my high school season or in the summer playing the 7v7 circuit. I believe my above average IQ for the game and WR position along with my speed, quickness, ability to stop/change directions and balls skills put me in a great position to be able to play at the next level.
Coach Testimonials
TJ Hands is a highly competitive athlete that combines a unique combination of size, speed and athleticism to go along with the ability to make difficult catches in traffic. His knowledge of the game and the receiver position at such a young age makes a coaches job much easier because you allow him to play his game while remaining confident and certain that he will produce the correct outcome. I believe without a doubt that Joe has what it takes to play D1 football at a power 5 program! - Coach Johnson at Wilson HS
TJ has always showed up to play hard and take the team to another level of play with his leadership and drive to win. His ability to run routes with efficiency and leave corners where they stand to make big plays for us is tremendous to see. TJ is every coach's dream and I look forward to seeing what he does at the next level. -Coach Ben- TX Elite 7v7
